The Newent Onion Fayre is a great day out for all the family with so many activities and things to see and do including the tradtional onion eating contest, best onion and other competitions and even the chance to enjoy some onion soup!
Explore Gloucestershire visited the Newent Onion Fayre in 2006 on a glorious late summers day and as days out in Gloucestershire go - this is a great experience for locals and visitors to enjoy.

Lots of onion entertainment at the 2008 Newent Onion Fayre
The 2008 Newent Onion Fair is an all day event which brings Newent town centre to a complete stand-still with all traffic not allowed in. There is a huge car park/field on the fringes of Newent and it's less than a five minute walk to the fun and festivities that the Newent Onion Fayre holds for 2008.

- Finishes: Long into the night!!!
