Royal International Air Tattoo 2009 at Fairford Airbase

18 - 19 July 2009

RIAT 2009

THE WORLD'S LARGEST MILITARY AIRSHOW!!

Few airshows can rival sheer size and excitements as aircraft and aircrew from around the world descend on RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire each July for this annual, global celebration of aviation.

With over 300+ aircraft participating each year, upwards of 170,000 visitors and support from the Royal Air Force and some of the world's leading aerospace companies, the Royal International Air Tattoo has been acknowledged as not only the world’s largest military airshow but also one of the UK's premier outdoor events for the whole family!

Also taking to the skies will be seven of the world’s greatest aerobatic display teams, including the legendary RAF Red Arrows, who will provide a breath-taking theatrical feast of close formation, precision flying.

But there’s far more to enjoy at the Royal International Air Tattoo 2009 than just the fabulous flying. On the ground, youngsters can meet the pilots and sit in the aircraft and enjoy the critically-acclaimed Tri@RIAT attraction, which brings together a feast of entertaining and interactive activities specifically designed to inspire and excite young minds.

Add to this a rousing outdoor evening concert and free entry for accompanied under-16s, and it’s clear that the Royal International Air Tattoo, held in support of the Royal Air Force Charitable Trust, offers unbeatable value for money.
