Winstons Wish Sunrise Walk 2009
20 September 2009
Winston’s Wish, the child bereavement charity, is delighted to announce the first ever Winston’s Wish Sunrise Walk which is being started, and finished, at Sudeley Castle on Sunday 20th September.
There are few natural sights more evocative of new beginnings, bright futures and optimism for what tomorrow holds, than a beautiful sunrise. Winston’s Wish works to enable bereaved children and young people to feel that they too can face the future with hope after the death of their loved one so the Winston’s Wish Sunrise Walk 2009 will combine all those qualities which make the work of the charity truly life-changing. It’s an opportunity to join together with friends and family, celebrate the life of someone who is or has been important to you, and raise money for the charity to help ensure that their work can continue into tomorrow and beyond.
The event will see participants begin walking in the early hours, on a route of 10 miles taking in some of the most beautiful scenery that Gloucestershire has to offer, and walking through the sunrise. At the end of the 10 miles walkers will gather together for a special balloon release to remember someone important, make a wish for the future, or celebrate the completion of the challenge.
Numbers of participants are strictly limited so make sure you don’t miss the opportunity to take part in what is sure to be a truly memorable event.
