Celebrating the life and work of Gloucestershire’s famous poet composer
11am - Morning recital

2pm - Talk by stained glass artist Tom Denny
Thomas Denny illustrates the beauty and anguish of Ivor Berti Gurney's life through the medium of stained glass.

7pm - Ivor Gurney Memorial Concert

with a world premier performance of Judith Bingham’s new composition, commissioned in honour of the occasion

All profits will be used to commission a brand new Tom Denny stained glass window for the Lady Chapel in honour of Ivor Gurney.

SUMMER HOLIDAYS - Family Fun @ Gloucester Cathedral
Saturday 13 July – Sunday 1 September: ANIMAL SAFARI
Come and explore the Cathedral looking for all the different types of creatures who ‘live’ there. Find a lion, lamb and more on your travels. This trail will start at the Pilgrim Door.
Time: 10.30am - 4.30pm
Tickets: The above trail is a FREE activity and can be collected from a Welcomer.
You can also visit The Tribune Gallery where you can dress up as a Bishop, complete the Edward Jigsaw and have fun in the Whispering Gallery, The Gallery Gazers guide will help you. Accompanied children are Free (adults £2)
STUDY DAYS, LECTURES & SPECIAL TOURS
Monday 19 – Saturday 31 August: THE WALK OF LIFE AT GLOUCESTER CATHEDRAL
The Cathedral Labyrinth is a canvas copy of the one in Chartres Cathedral in France. Visitors are invited to remove their shoes and walk the Labyrinth in a reflective way.
