Status Quo to Headline Lechlade Festival!

Status Quo to Headline Lechlade Festival!

Legendary rock band Status Quo will headline at Lechlade Festival 2015.

Arguably the most hard-working rock band of the last 50 years, Status Quo boast a longevity beyond compare.

Quo have recorded 64 British hit singles - more than any other band - 22 of which have hit the Top Ten.  Their world-wide record sales exceed 118 million units.  The release of their latest fully acoustic album Aquostic – Stripped Bare is set to be a game changer as the band strip back 25 of their hits and fan favourites.

Founder members FRANCIS ROSSI and RICK PARFITT are joined in the current QUO line up by keyboard player ANDREW BOWN [since 1976], bassist JOHN ‘RHINO’ EDWARDS [1986] and drummer LEON CAVE [2013].

QUO hold the record for more hit singles than any other band, both international and British, in UK chart history.  They have performed all over the world, for heads of state and royalty and now will be closing the 5th Lechlade Festival.

The 3 day festival will take place from 22nd – 24th May 2015 and is moving to a new site.  “I can’t describe how excited we are to announce Status Quo” said Festival Director Jennie Rainsford, “This is a real turning point for Lechlade and helps us to consolidate the hard work that’s gone into the last 4 years.  The new site will enable us to provide a better layout and improved facilities for festival goers whilst retaining our safe, family-friendly environment.  Status Quo are legendary and always put on a fantastic show, tickets are expected to sell fast.”

2015 also sees the return of Wychwood Brewery as festival sponsors.  The brewery will have more beers on offer for their second year at the event, including ‘Piledriver’ – the beer they launched in partnership with Status Quo in February this year.

Early Bird Tickets are on sale now for Lechlade Festival 2015.  Lucky Lechlade locals will benefit from a 50% discount*, though tickets are limited so don’t hesitate.  You can buy tickets via the website at www.lechladefestival.co.uk
