Latest line up for the 2015 Lechlade Festival

Latest line up for the 2015 Lechlade Festival

Louise Latham, Silver Story, Feral Ghost and Twister are just some of the top band names released in the line-up for this year’s Lechlade Music Festival. The festival team have personally listened to over 500 applications to cherry-pick an incredible line-up of high quality live music. The excellence and variety of bands this year is better than ever with something to please every music fan. The Lechalde Festival prides itself on promoting local, new and emerging talent as well as bringing back some festival favourites such as Josephine and the Artizans, Whole Lotta Led, Nina Baker and the indomitable Frankenstein’s Lobster.

This 3-day event, taking place on 22nd-24th May, promises to deliver big as it celebrates its 5th year. It is no secret that the legendary Status Quo will be appearing as the headline act on Sunday which is an incredible coup for this home-grown festival. Moreover, Dr and the Medics will be returning as Saturday’s headline act, following their show-stopping performance last year.

“We are incredibly excited that the mighty Quo are coming to Lechlade this year as this will be one of their few live performances with the full on rock show in the UK in 2015. We’re also very happy to welcome back the Dr. This just goes to show how far we’ve come as a festival although we still remain true to our mission to be a showcase for great live music in a relaxed and family-friendly environment,” said Jennie Rainsford, Festival Director.

Jennie and the festival team, who have recently won a clutch of awards for tourism and for working with the community, continually strive to maintain the quality of the festival. The carefully selected food traders offer mouth-watering choices for the whole family, including Hogan’s Cider, real ales, locally-sourced sausages, vegetarian options, ice-cream, Indian and Mexican street food.

As in previous years, there will be plenty for the family to do, with a real focus on keeping the children entertained. A diverse range of free workshops for both adults and children offer activities such as story-telling, dancing, singing and drumming. There will also be children’s crafts, games, toys and rides, many free of charge.

Lechlade Festival really does have something for everyone so chill-out, listen to the best quality live music and enjoy the relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere.

Children 16 and under still get in free to the event.  With adult tickets at just £57 for the whole weekend and concessionary rates on offer, this is a great value event for the whole family. This link will take you to the booking page.
