Have you 'spotted' the new piglets at Dean Heritage Centre?

The Dean Heritage Centre is delighted to welcome two new Gloucester Old Spot piglets to the Centre.

Kindly donated to the Dean Heritage Centre by Adam Henson and his team at the Cotswold Farm Park, the pigs are already settling into their new environment and welcoming visitors to come along and see them in their surroundings.

To celebrate the arrival of these much loved animals, the Centre is running a great family competition and inviting members of the public to name their piglets. On offer for the winner is a free family ticket to the Dean Heritage Centre. In order to enter the competition, simply send the Dean Heritage Centre any name suggestions to info@deanheritagecentre.com or post entries to Dean Heritage Centre, Camp Mill, Soudley, Glos, GL14 2UB.

Emma Smith, Centre Manager for the Dean Heritage Centre comments; “We’re extremely happy to have pigs onsite again. There has been a period of time in which we have unfortunately been without these animals, but I am pleased to announce that we can enjoy the build up to summer with these fantastic little additions to the Centre.
We really want the local community to feel like a part of the Centre and what better way to engage with the public than by helping us name our pigs. With two females onsite, I’m definitely looking forward to the unique and original name suggestions that visitors put forward.”

The arrival of these piglets is perfectly timed with yet another friendly face revisiting the DHC this summer, as they launch their new woodland trail. Back by popular demand The Gruffalo Trail will be returning to the Centre, with their official launch celebration on Saturday 30th July.
