Egg-citement builds for Cheltenham's Big Easter Weekend
Preparations are underway for Cheltenham¹s Big Easter Weekend
21, 22 and 24 March. Musicians and street performers confirmed include
the Roy Kirby Paragon Jazz Band, Master of None, Thomas Trilby, Edmund
Tahl and local dance group The Coady Crew. Live music will be performed
in the Promenade, High Street and The Brewery plus a variety of
entertainers moving around the town centre streets.
Other attractions include an Easter Bonnet Parade and Easter Egg Hunt that children are invited to take part in.
Martin
Quantock, Manager of Cheltenham Business Partnership said ³I¹m
delighted that town centre businesses are being given this opportunity
to recoup some of the business that was lost during the summer floods.
We are hoping that the quality entertainment and activities that we
have going on in the town will increase the footfall and make
Cheltenham THE town to visit during the Easter holidays².
The
event is being funded by the South West Regional Development Agency, to
help boost the town¹s economy following losses suffered last summer by
retailers, hotels and restaurants.
