National Waterways Museum in Gloucester Docks

Museum to re-open in May with lower entrance prices!!!

The refreshment programme underway at the National Waterways Museum, Gloucester Docks is moving ahead at an exciting pace in advance of its re-opening on Saturday 24 May 2008, in time for the Spring Bank Holiday and school half term holiday.

During the Whitsun school holidays there'll be special 'Canal Craft 'activities for the whole family to enjoy plus lots more which will be announced soon - so keep logging on to Explore Gloucestershire for the latest as it comes in!

In recognition of the museum’s renewed family appeal entrance prices to the redesigned ‘Water Lives’ galleries will now offer even greater value. New prices start at £2.75 for children and a ticket for a family of four will cost £12.00. Discounts apply for concessions and groups and season tickets are also available. A completely redefined space and new, bright and bold graphics and interpretation boards await new and returning visitors. Lots of interactive and hands-on exhibits will bring the fascinating story of living, working and moving on Britain’s inland waterways to life. The refreshed museum is designed to appeal to visitors of all ages, making it an exciting and vibrant place for everyone to enjoy.
