The skies over Gloucestershire will be illuminated with fireworks once again with and an array of dazzling colours and rockets booming away, during the first week of November to celebrate Guy Fawkes night in Gloucestershire.
We have details of a selection of firework and bonfire displays throughout Gloucestershire and more are still coming in daily. Expect the nights of spectacular illuminations to commence in late October - Last year the Ebley Fireworks Display, organised by the Round Table, sparked off the firework festivities.
The two BIG fireworks displays in Gloucestershire 2008
Cheltenham and Gloucester will celebrate with two spectacular pyrotechnic shows at the Cheltenham Racecourse on Saturday 1 Nov, and the Gloucester Docks firework display will light up Gloucester once again (also on Sat 1st Nov 2008).
Smaller fireworks displays in Gloucestershire 2008
If you prefer illuminations on a smaller, local scale there are bonfires and firework displays scattered around the Cotswolds, Forest of Dean and Severn Vale including Tewkesbury.
One of our favourites is the Burley Fields Firework Display in Leckhampton which boasts the biggest bonfire in the country. We've seen it half built and it's immense already! Pig roasts, licensed bar, fun fair and live music with DJ's makes the Burley Fields Firework Display the place to be on Saturday 8 November in Leckhampton, Cheltenham.
