Sandford Parks Lido Opening Day 21 April

The lovely March weather must be wetting your appetite for another summer season at Cheltenham’s heated outdoor swimming resort. 

Maintenance and repairs on site are progressing well and will continue until the opening date of Saturday 21st April The season will begin again with the  ‘Turning Back Time’ day.  Entrance price on this day will be 2pence and the Cheltenham Silver Band will once again be providing entertainment. There will also be water polo demonstrations and canoeing sessions for children by Cheltenham Swimming and Water polo club and Cheltenham Canoe Club.
 
Season tickets for the season provide a cost efficient reason for the whole family to spend time at Cheltenham’s historic outdoor pool. A 10% discount on season tickets is available up to and including Sunday 22nd April. Click here for more details and to download a form.
 
With the launch of a new redesigned website you will find lots of information about the facility as well as the list of 2012 events including a new sporting event, the GE Aviation Aquathlon.  This swim/run event has two distance options of 400m swim /2.5km run and 800m swim/5km run and is suitable for all abilities aged 13+.  Entry forms are available on the website for this as well as the Pied Piper Junior Aquathlon, Cheltenham Triathlon and Devil’s Aquathlon.
