About Far Peak Climbing & Outdoor Centre
Far Peak is a dedicated climbing and outdoor centre just outside the market town of Northleach and is now home to Gloucestershire’s largest artificial outdoor climbing tower. Set on a beautiful 25 acre rural site with an outdoor ropes course, archery range and bush craft area in the woodlands, it is a great place to bring the whole family for an action packed day in the heart of the Cotswolds. We run lessons for all ages and abilities, starting at 3 years old through to adults with our dedicated team of qualified staff.
The outdoor climbing tower, nestled in the woodlands next to the indoor climbing centre and standing at over 14m tall, boasts a huge selection of challenges for experienced climbers, beginners and children too. We have challenging overhanging sections and a selection of vertical and gentle sloping sections that are perfect to learn climbing technique and balance. The tower and indoor climbing and bouldering centre is open year round and our team can offer a range of instructional courses including:
- Beginner climbing and abseiling sessions for children age 3 upwards
- Our legendary climbing NICAS academy’s for children age 4 to 16
- Beginner climbing and abseiling courses for adults starting at
- Advanced climbing workshops teaching technique and lead climbing
- Climbing and rope access qualifications and training
- Suitable for groups, schools and corporate events
Open for casual climbing and bouldering every day until late evening.
Far Peak also has a fantastic fully equipped campsite with 20 acres of open space to pitch all types of tent and caravan – perfect for combining your stay in the Cotswolds with some fun activities, such as climbing, bush craft, tree climbing and archery.
