On the afternoon of Friday 20 July 2007, the heavens opened up and the rain came down, and down and down! As the day wore on it became evident that there would be a repeat performance of the June flooding in Cheltenham. We needed to take a look for ourselves to confirm reports we were hearing on the radio, so we requistioned a friend, his Landrover and our wellies and waterproofs and set out for a drive around Charlton Kings and some of the surrounding country lanes. This soon became a rescue mission as we towed out a few stranded cars including the Mercedez featured in the movie clip below. We would also like to point out that we drove responsibly at all times and did not cause any inflow into any flooded homes.
