Badgers and TB, nature talk and tea at Lodge Park

Thursday 20 June 2019

Discover insights into badger population dynamics, social behaviour, foraging habits and TB infection in this talk. It will focus on a long-term study of a wild badger population in Gloucestershire. By routinely catching, marking, examining and releasing animals in the study area for more than 30 years along with tracking technology, building up an incredibly detailed picture of their lives.

Prof. Delahay is a wildlife biologist working for the National Wildlife Management Centre, and oversees the field studies on bovine TB dynamics. He also provides advice to UK Government departments, and authors over 150 scientific papers.
