Museum and Behind the Scenes Tours

An insightful look into the working life of the museum.

This tour will give you a unique view of both the public and private areas of the building while delving to the history of the building and its amazing collections.

Limited spaces are available, so booking is essential!

Please note
: Under-18s must be accompanied by an adult.  Tours last approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.  This tour is NOT suitable for those with mobility problems.

The Museum of Gloucester is situated in the city centre on Brunswick Road. It tells the story of the city’s origins as a Roman settlement and its subsequent development through the Dark Ages and Medieval period, to the present day.

Relax in the café or browse the gift shop. You will also find Gloucester Tourist Information Service where you can still buy tickets and get information on what to do in the city...
