Tewkesbury Medieval Festival 2021

Saturday 10 - Sunday 11 July 2021

Join in the medieval mayhem this July when the world famous 1471 'Battle of Tewkesbury' is re-created with the help of hundreds of re-enactors and in 2021 the Festival celebrates its 550th Anniversary.

The Tewkesbury Medieval Festival is a great place for the young and old, and it's especially ideal for a great family day out, where you'll see swordsmen, serving wenches, witch dunking, musical extravaganzas and much more from the re-enactors, traders and entertainers who descend upon the Festival each year.

Come and join in the medieval fun and frolicsl - eat, drink and be merry!

This battle includes over 1500 re-enactors, cannon fire, a Knight on his magnificent white charger, swords, smoke and shining armour, hopefully glinting in the sunshine!

Across the whole weekend, there’s also a huge market selling everything from medieval shoes and armour, leatherwork and gifts as well as a range of food and drink available.  A fully stocked beer tent is also on site for the grown ups – selling a range of traditional ales, ciders and meads.

Entry to the event – the largest of its type in the whole of Europe – is completely free across the whole weekend, but the event does rely on donations to keep running each year.
