Celebrate Christmas in Gloucester with the much-loved Gloucester Christmas Lights Switch-On and Lantern Parade!
This year the theme is Community in Nature, featuring lantern creations designed by local schools and community groups.
The evening begins with a heartwarming carol service at Gloucester Cathedral, before the parade sets off, inspired by the idea that community is found in nature. Glowing lanterns will illuminate the city centre as the procession winds through the gate streets and past the University of Gloucestershire building in King’s Square, concluding at Blackfriars Priory.
This uplifting event celebrates togetherness and creativity, reminding all who attend that coming together as a community truly is a superpower.
