Christmas presents with a difference at Cotswold Wildlife Park

Christmas presents with a difference at Cotswold Wildlife Park

Stuck for what to get the kids or relatives for Christmas? The Cotswold Wildlife Park has a range of gift ideas that are a little bit different. How about adopting Astrid,  their new baby rhino?  (Not literally, as they don’t make good pets!). There are so many different species of animal that you could potentially adopt and not only will you help towards the Park’s  conservation and breeding programmes but you also receive up to two free entry tickets. Prices are from £20-50 depending on the animal and make an unusual gift for someone who thinks they have everything!

Do you know someone who is potty about penguins or loves Giraffe? The Park’s Animal Encounters make a perfect gift for animal lovers. Choose from a variety of different Animal Encounters, which will give you a great hands-on experience. The Animal Encounters last around 30 minutes (although this varies depending on the animals) and are suitable for both adults and children (children must be at least six years old and accompanied by a responsible adult ). Each encounter is £50, which includes one entrance ticket to the Park.

For an extra special gift for your loved one, then the Park’s Keeper Experiences’ might be just the thing! They give you the chance to be a “Keeper for the Day” for over 18s, or they have a NEW “Junior Keeper Experience” (7 years and upwards), which  offers a unique chance to go behind the scenes at the Park. During the exclusive “Keeper for the Day”programme, you work one-to-one with the Park’s animal Keepers, feeding, mucking out, preparing food, and learning about animal enrichment techniques, for £225 per person. The “ Junior Keeper Experience” is half a day in a group of a maximum of four similar aged children, following an expert Keeper, helping to feed the animals and learning about the animals at the Park and costs £115 per child.

"The day was truly special from start to finish. I’m still smiling with a feel good feeling that will last for weeks!" P. Knauff, Keeper for the Day

"The best day of my life ever, so far." G. Turner, aged 10 years, Junior Keeper Experience
