Dean Heritage centre closes to prepare for Christmas

Events at Dean Heritage Centre

From Monday 25th until Friday 29th November the Dean Heritage Centre (DHC) will be closed to visitors as staff and volunteers prepare for their Christmas celebrations. The Centre will reopen on Saturday 30th November for business as usual.

Give your little ones enchanting Christmas memories with a visit to see Santa at the Dean Heritage Centre (DHC). During three weekends in December families will be able to meet the big man in red as he takes up residence in a traditionally decorated Victorian cottage on the Centre’s five acre woodland site.

Elder elf has created a delightful, seasonal, teddy bear trail including family favourites such as Paddington and Rupert bear, so why not see how many you can find before wrapping up to walk the Gruffalo’s Child woodland trail.

Paid entry to the DHC from the 30th November until the 22nd December will include a mince pie for adults and small present for children with Santa available to meet at the weekends (7th and 8th, 14th and 15th, 21st and 22nd December) and the Centre will be festively decorated throughout December to delight visitors of all ages.
Visitors are advised to wrap up well and wear waterproof footwear to fully experience all of the festive fun to be had indoors and out!

PR and event manager, Harri Le Claire said: “Christmas is a lovely time to visit the DHC as it is decked up in all of its festive splendour, our ‘teddy bear trail’ is sure to delight families and keep ‘little ones’ busy, whatever the weather!”
