World Penguin Day at Birdland

World Penguin Day in Gloucestershire

Birdland in Bourton-on-the-Water is celebrating World Penguin Awareness Day with a three-day celebration of the world’s favourites flightless birds (Saturday, January 18th – Monday, January 20th) featuring special talks and feeding displays.

Meet a huddle of Humboldts and a coronation of king penguins and find out all about their amazing lives.

There’s a competition to win the chance to feed the penguins and you can test your knowledge of these comical characters with a quiz which will give you some amazing facts to wow your friends with!

You can also flock along to the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch on Saturday, January 25th.

Starting at 11am, join our local birdwatching expert, complete with telescope, binoculars and guides, in the nature area for a fun day’s bird-spotting and identification – wellies advisable!
