CONGRATULATIONS: Photo competition winner receives prizes
The Gloucestershire at its Best Photography Competition has always been very popular with hundreds of enthusiastic photographers of all ages.
The brief, as it states in the name of the competition, is to submit photographs that capture the true essence of Gloucestershire. Whether a scenic photograph of a quintessential Cotswold village, flowers and fauna in a Forest of Dean wooded glade, architecture of Cheltenham, action shots of one of the many festivals and shows in the county, or as the winning photo for the 2013 competition, a dramatic scenic view from Cleeve Hill incorporating a stunning rainbow.
The standard as usual was very high, but our competition sponsors Stagecoach West Buses chose the winning photograph.
On Thursday 19 June 2014, Ashley Rood, the winner of the 2013 Explore Gloucestershire at its Best Photography Competition met with competition sponsors Stagecoach West on the Promenade, Cheltenham to receive her prize.
Ashley, who lives in Bishops Cleeve was presented with a cheque for £250 by Charlotte Potter, Marketing Assistant at Stagecoach West. Ashley also received a large format canvas print of her winning photograph, worth over £100 which was kindly donated by the Bigger Printing Company, a Cheltenham based company who specialise in bigger and bespoke printing requirements to suit all needs.
The photography competition will be returning at the strat of the new year, so get snapping for your chance of winning some fabulous prizes!
