Cracking Christmas Films at the Corinium Museum

Christmas films at Corinium Museum

Film lovers in Cirencester are in for a festive treat this December when the Corinium Museum screens two Christmas classics - It’s a Wonderful Life and White Christmas.

Beginning with It’s a Wonderful Life with Tea & Cake on 5th December, 2.15pm. Cinema goers will have the chance to watch one of the most popular films of all time re-mastered in glorious colour. Tea and cake also will be served during the interval to create a wonderful vintage Christmas atmosphere. The film stars James Stewart as George Bailey a compassionate but frustrated businessman whose life seems to be coming apart, until an angel shows him just how much life is worth living. A tear-jerking, hilarious masterpiece that just gets better every time you watch it.

This will be followed by White Christmas on Thursday 10th December, 7pm. The 1945 Christmas classic starring Bing Crosby is a romantic tale that takes place in a Vermont lodge – where it is almost always a “White Christmas”.

Commenting on the Corinium Cinema, Sarah Lewis Digital Engagement Officer at Corinium Museum, said:

“We’re thrilled to be screening these fantastic films, the Museum provides the perfect venue to watch classic cinema. We’re also hosting a Christmas craft fair so that visitors will have the chance to pick up a unique handmade gift for family and friends at the same time.”

To book tickets please call into the Corinium Museum or telephone 01285 655611. For more information about Christmas events at the Museum please go to www.coriniummuseum.org.
