REVIEW: Cinderella at The Everyman Theatre

REVIEW: Cinderella at The Everyman Theatre

The festive season begins for us after our annual visit to the Pantomime in Cheltenham, and this year the Everyman Theatre has produced yet another thoroughly entertaining show.

The first night of Cinderella opened to a full house with the children in the audience getting very excited beforehand. The extremely popular Tweedy was back and I was reliably informed by a five year old “he was the funniest man in the whole world!”

The classic fairy tale was depicted with lavish sets and costumes as we have come to expect from the Everyman. The whole cast were fantastic and the audience chuckled their way through the whole production, which had something for all ages.  Tweedy played Buttons and William Elliot played Baroness Hardup, Cinderella's stepmother - together a great comedy double act. The two ugly sisters were ‘absolutely fabulous’ and their questionable fashion sense was not quite ‘haute couture’. Romoana, played by Wendy Abrahams (of Theo and Wendy) also brought along her not so friendly pet dog.

Tickets sales are up again on last year so don’t be disappointed and leave it until the last minute - book your tickets now for a fabulous show for the whole family to enjoy.

Cinderella runs until 10 January 2016. There will be a relaxed performance on 5 January and a signed performance on January 2.
