Lionel Richie to perform at Kingsholm in June 2016

 Lionel Richie's love affair with the UK continues as he announces Gloucester live show at Kingsholm Stadium in 2016.

Following last week's announcement of Manchester and London shows, an extra tour date has been added on June 26th 2016 in Gloucester – taking Lionel to a place he's never been before

The 2016 UK Tour follows a phenomenal year for Lionel, which saw a sell out tour with incredible live reviews, a Number One Album, a GQ Award and a truly sensational Glastonbury moment.

International superstar Lionel Richie will return to the UK in 2016 to perform open air concerts in parts of the UK he's never visited before including Kingsholm Stadium, Gloucester on June 26th.

The 'All The Hits' Tour will also visit St Austell, Swansea, Colwyn Bay, Sheffield and Colchester. These new dates follow the recent announcement of arena shows in Manchester and London.

Performing 'All The Hits' from his extensive and much loved repertoire spanning decades, all the way from the Commodores to the present day.

Lionel's shows are world renowned for their party atmosphere and audiences will be able to join Lionel in singing along to classics such as 'Hello', 'Easy', 'Dancing on the Ceiling', 'Say You Say Me' and 'All Night Long'.

Lionel said:

"I had such a great time in the UK this year and I can't wait to visit new places and meet new people. Performing at Glastonbury for the first time was such a thrill for me and given me an appetite to do new things in the UK. I know these shows are going to be very special. It'll be the first time I'll have been to Gloucester and I can't wait.”

The UK fell back in love with Lionel last year following a tour that received glittering reviews and culminated in a phenomenal Glastonbury performance.

After drawing the biggest crowd of the weekend with over 100,000 people flocking to the Pyramid Stage, Lionel's album 'The Definitive Collection' reached Number One on the UK album charts for the first time in 23 years.

Lionel went on to receive British GQ's Icon Award adding to a celebrated career which includes four GRAMMYs, a Golden Globe and even an Oscar. Having sold over 100 million albums worldwide and Lionel shows no signs of slowing down.
