Free entry to the Dean Heritage Centre for locals

On Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th February the Dean Heritage Centre will be opening its doors to the local population for free.

During this exclusive community weekend, local visitors from the GL14 – GL17 postcode area will be able to experience the attractions and displays at the Centre, whilst taking advantage of a complimentary admission price.

All visitors can discover the history of the Forest of Dean from the Ice Age to the present day in the centre’s five museum galleries; along with exploring a range of other attractions including a reconstructed Forester’s cottage, Victorian schoolroom, charcoal burner’s camp and themed woodland trail featuring the Very Hungry Caterpillar story.

In order to benefit from this special admission offer during the centre’s community weekend, local visitors will simply need to bring along proof of ID and their address to claim their free ticket to the Dean Heritage Centre.

Emma Smith, Centre Manager for the Dean Heritage Centre comments “The Dean Heritage Centre is a key tourist attraction in the Forest of Dean and a valued and esteemed destination for our local population.
The team welcome the opportunity to celebrate and acknowledge our local community for their continued custom and support. We’re excited to share our events calendar for 2016 and we invite our local community to comment on what the DHC means to them.”

The Dean Heritage Centre is open from 10am until 4pm during the community weekend with last entry at 3pm. All visitors are welcome. Local visitors are requested to bring ID and proof of address to gain complimentary admission. For more information about the Dean Heritage Centre, visit www.deanheritagecentre.com
