Flash back to 1967 at Cotswold Motoring Museum to enjoy the Summer of Love

Events at Cotswold Motoring Museum in Bpurton on the Water

Cotswold Motoring Museum & Toy Collection, based in beautiful Bourton-on-the-Water, invites locals and visitors to the area to be transported back to 1967! This year’s summer exhibition revisits the ‘Summer of Love’ harking back to a time of flowers and flares.

With a cool and groovy vibe the exhibit is based around the Land Rover Carawagon and will run until September 2017. Visitors will be able to enjoy the sights, sounds and patchouli aromas of this psychedelic moment in history.

The Cotswold Motoring Museum takes visitors on a truly fascinating journey through its motoring and toy collections, from vintage and classic cars to motorcycles, caravans and other intriguing collections of motoring curiosities.

New for 2017 is the Cotswold Motoring Museum Hare, part of the Cirencester March Hare Festival*, which has been hand painted and decorated with decals in a flower-power theme synonymous with the swinging 60s. The 5ft-tall sculpture sits outside the entrance and will be welcoming visitors until December.

The Cotswold Motoring Museum is open from 10am to 6pm seven days a week, from 15 February to mid-December 2017.

Admission prices are £5.75 for adults and £4.10 for children aged 4-16 years –a family ticket is available for two adults and two children for the discounted rate of £18.00. Under 4s are admitted for free and Boundless members save 10% on entrance fees.
