Your guide to August at The Roses Theatre in Tewkesbury

Your guide to August at The Roses Theatre in Tewkesbury

The summer holidays are in full swing and there's plenty of entertainment lined up both in and out of the theatre.

August sees two outdoor theatre events to enjoy in the lovely Victoria Gardens. 'As You Like It' by Madcap Theatre, and 'Romeo & Juliet' by Oddsocks both promise a delightful evening on the banks of the Mill Avon and you are most welcome to bring your own food and drink along. Don't worry, there are contingency plans in place if the weather is bad!

As always, there is a variety of live music to enjoy too. Particular highlights include 'The Rat Pack', starring David Alacey and Anita Harris, which is a dazzling spectacle that features the 'Buddy Greco Orchestra'; and the 70th birthday celebrations of 'Peter Knight', who performs a one-off gig with his trio Gigspanner alongside some special guests.

Finally, there is plenty for families to see and do over the long holidays, with the live shows 'The Owl And The Pussycat' and 'Dogs Don't Do Ballet', plus plenty of current blockbuster films which you can see for just £5 per ticket before 5pm.

Full details of all of all films and live shows at The Roses Theatre in Tewkesbury can be found online.
