An aMaizing Day Out on Adam Henson's Cotswold Farm Park

An aMaizing Day Out on Adam Henson's Cotswold Farm Park

This year Adam Henson’s Cotswold Farm Park has grown a brand new Maize Maze and Explore Gloucestershire were invited over to Guiting Power to take a look and explore the new additions to the Park. If you haven’t visited for a while, prepare to be impressed.

The brand new animal barn opened in time for the start of the school summer holidays. With lots more space it has a staged seating area for demonstrations with everyone able to get a good view. There are various pens housing the latest arrivals at the Park and an area where you can handle some of the smaller animals. On the day we visited there were lots of piglets so we did have a bit of a cuteness overload! With more developments in hand there are even things to see and do that are undercover. Complete with excellent café facilities and shop these contribute to the attraction being accessible in all weathers.

Outside you will find more of the rare breed animals and a selection of play areas including zip wire, bouncing pillows and even a combine harvester to climb on. You can tour the farm on a Farm Safari Ride, enjoy a Rare Breeds Trail or a Wildlife Walk.  It’s great in fine weather, but also great in your wellies!

The Maize Maze with it's wide paths is accessible to all. Equipped with a map (we didn’t use ours), a trail to complete along the way and a flag on a stick (just in case you get lost) we set out into the Maze. There are 2 platforms overlooking it so rest assured you will have something to aim for if you get lost. Farmer Terry was also on hand to assist or hinder, so watch out – you never know quite where he will be lurking with his water pistol! He’s quite a character and the kids love him.

We had a sneaky peak around the campsite too.  The facilities are excellent and the perfect place to relax after a day in the Park. The new glamping tents look positively luxurious. Campers can purchase an entrance pass to the Farm Park at the day rate which can then be re-used free of charge for the duration of your booking.

Adam Henson’s Cotswold Farm Park provides everything for an excellent fun filled family day out. An added bonus is that children will actually learn something educational about farm animals and farming during their visit.

Adam Henson’s Cotswold Farm Park is open daily until 22 December. Keep an eye out for further events including Halloween and Christmas.

We have put together a sneaky peak of what’s on offer:
