Cajun and Zydeco Festival 25th Anniversary at Gloucester Guildhall

The 25th Anniversary of the annual Gloucester Cajun and Zydeco festival takes over Gloucester Guildhall on Friday 26th January to Sunday 28th January. With a mixture of great music, tasty food and fun workshops this is sure to be an exciting and fun weekend, whether you’re a Cajun and Zydeco fanatic or new on the scene.

Over the weekend you will be able to see an amazing list of bands and musicians.

FRIDAY 26th JANUARY:
River Zydeco Band

For almost 25 years River Zydeco band have been spreading their love and passion for Zydeco music throughout Europe. Their new album brings Zydeco music and pop together these guys will definitely have you on your feet.
Double Shots
A band formed by some of the most well-known and respected names in European Cajun, Creole and Zydeco their passion and soul shines through on every stage they perform on.

SATURDAY 27TH JANUARY:
Jeffery Broussard
All the way from Louisiana, USA Jeffery Broussard is the most influential accordionists and vocalists in the modern Zydeco world his passion and love for this music shows in every performance he does.
Cajun Roosters
From five different countries, five different musicians came together to share their love of Zydeco music and have bagged the reputation as one of the most popular headline bands on the summer outdoor stage circuit.
Pon’ Bro
Pumping out traditional Cajun two-steps and waltzes interspersed with Cajun blues and old-time Creole tunes Pon’ Bro will have you on your feet dancing in no time.

SUNDAY 28TH JANUARY:
The Po Boys
Frontman Lil Jim will be leading The Po Boys with his accordion as they headline the Sunday show, so you’ll get the chance to hear their album material and dance along to their Cajun, Zydeco and Blues beats.
Hogan’s Heroes 
Miriam Hogan, former member of Miri-Kools with Phil Underwood, is joined by Gavin Lewery of Zydeco Diamonds fame, head to Gloucester Cajun and Zydeco Festival this year. Make sure you get your dancing shoes on and bop along to this fresh slice of C&Z.
Trio Hot Creole
A brand new band into the Cajun and Zydeco world, Trio Hot Creole are headed by Phil Underwood. Phil is recognised all over the world for his expertise in the musical world having performed on BBC Breakfast, Songs of Praise and Eastenders.
