Creative Kids at Taurus Crafts this half-term

Half term at Taurus Crafts in the Forest of Dean

Taurus Crafts, the popular visitor centre near Lydney, is running a full programme of creative activities to help keep the kids entertained this February half term.
With new activities, and 2 free activities the centre is upping its game and making sure there is something to appeal to all.

“We value ‘hands on’ experiences and the chance to get involved in making at Taurus Crafts, and our activity programme this February really delivers.”
“We have a new collaboration with local artist Jayme-Lee Cooper and with artisan baker and teacher Isabel Partridge. Making forest dwellings with Jay will be great fun, she uses her artist-eye to help the kids turn a pile of found materials into a magical dwelling for mythical folk, where Isabel combines her teaching profession and baking passion to make the best cupcakes and cookies in the area and helps you to literally put the icing on the cake”

With a free puppet performance from ventriloquist Leesa Cartwright, and Wendy’s free recycled materials sessions the chance is there for budding makers on a budget to try something out and go home having had a day out to remember.

Along with these new and free activities, the centres classic activities are all up and running and include: stone carving, reptile encounters, jewellery making, pottery painting, candle dipping and chocolate making.

To get all the details dates and times it’s easy to join Taurus Crafts e-newsletter or check their Facebook page and website, they are all kept up to date. You will also find the details via Explore Gloucestershire What's On - click here for more details

The centre is open daily 10am until 5.30pm and is free to get in with a large free car park. Located just outside Lydney town on the A48.
