Malice through the Looking Glass – A wonderland 'Whodunnit' at Gloucester Cathedral.

Gloucester Cathedral is delighted to present its first ever ‘whodunnit’ mystery evening, held in conjunction with acclaimed performance company ‘Smoke & Mirrors’ who create exclusive, fully interactive sleuthing evenings with a variety of spectacular twists.

Six months after Alice first tumbled down the rabbit hole, chaos has broken out in Wonderland – the White Queen is on the rampage, Tweedle Dum isn’t speaking to Tweedle Dee and Humpty Dumpty is behaving very strangely. Worse still, the White King is filing for divorce, the Mad Hatter isn’t the only one who’s lost his marbles, and the recently crowned Alice has just discovered a dastardly plot to put the Red Queen back on the throne…

We look forward to guests joining us for this special event in the Cathedral Nave where you can help to solve the mystery of Malice through the Looking Glass. The ticket price includes a welcome drink and cheese platters supplied by Gloucester Services. A cash bar will available during the evening and all proceeds go towards supporting the upkeep of Gloucester Cathedral.

Smoke & Mirrors’ events are most definitely theatre – with a full cast of actors mixing with the audience throughout.  But they’re also interactive. The audience can play along as much or as little as they wish, in or out of character. But don't be put off by thinking you have to be an actor or an expert sleuth to enjoy this - you really don't! There's something for everyone and how involved you get is entirely up to you. You can just sit back and watch, and enjoy a great evening in a beautiful place. Or you can come in fancy dress and throw yourself in totally, becoming a citizen of Wonderland for the evening and work out whodunit, it's completely up to you. You can be assured of an excellent evening's entertainment – and you’ll see Lewis Carroll’s characters as you’ve never seen them before!

To complete the evening there will be first-class comedy, terrific actors, a great plot, programmes, clues and prizes.
