Everyman Theatre awards Cheltenham Chamber of Commerce Sponsorship Cup to Investec Wealth & Investment

Everyman Theatre awards

The Everyman Theatre annually awards the Cheltenham Chamber of Commerce (CCC) Sponsorship Cup to one of its key sponsors and this year has chosen to give the cup to Investec Wealth & Investment for the second year running, for their sponsorship of the theatre’s own in-house production of Quartet, starring Paul Nicholas, Sue Holderness, Wendi Peters and Jeff Rawle.

Investec Wealth & Investment joined the Everyman’s prestigious and expanding list of corporate members in November 2015 and this is the second time the company has sponsored an Everyman show, having previously supported the theatre’s own production of A Passionate Woman with Liza Goddard. They have had an office in Cheltenham for over 40 years, managing money on behalf of private clients, charities, trusts and pensions and providing a bespoke and integrated financial planning and investment management service.

Peter Horton, Head of the Cheltenham office said “The Cheltenham Office of Investec Wealth & Investment has a long history of supporting the Arts in the town and we are proud to have supported the Everyman Theatre with sponsorship of their own production for the second year running. We are delighted to have built such a strong ongoing relationship with the theatre over the last few years and to have been chosen as their sponsor of the year.”

Quartet, written by award-winning playwright Sir Ronal Harwood (The Dresser, Taking Sides, An English Tragedy), played to packed houses at the Everyman in February 2018, followed by a nationwide tour.

Chief Executive of the Everyman, Mark Goucher said “Sponsorship of the Arts is regarded by some as of no commercial importance but we have seen over the years what a profound effect collaborations between the business and arts worlds can achieve. Without the support of our Sponsors, we really could not continue to produce work of this quality and on behalf of The Everyman I would like to congratulate and thank Investec Wealth & Investment for their commitment and support. They have been a sponsor of the theatre for several years and this is the second time they have sponsored one of our own productions.  Their support is invaluable and we sincerely hope that we can develop an even stronger relationship with them over the coming years and also with the whole of the Gloucestershire business community.”
