Has Berkeley Castle any special offers for the summer?

Has Berkeley Castle ever been used as a TV and Film location?

Does Berkeley Castle have access and facilities for disabled visitors?
Yes, we have two disabled toilets. Unfortunately access to the Castle and gardens is limited in places due to the nature of the building. http://www.berkeley-castle.com/accesstoberkeley.html
Does Berkeley Castle have any special events over the summer months?
We have many special events throughout the summer months including Knights’ Warrior Shows, Living History encampment, Henry VIII and his 6 wives, Circus show on horseback. Check out our What’s On page for more information http://www.berkeley-castle.com/whatson.html
Are there special activity days for children during the Summer School holidays?
As well as the events mentioned above, every Monday we have Cassandra, our spellbinding story-teller, on Tuesdays it’s Jester Skills with Monty our exuberant Fool and on Wednesdays you can discover archery skills with James our Archer.
Is there a café and picnic areas at Berkley Castle?
Yes, we have a large picnic area with benches in our Walled Garden. We also have a cosy Tearoom which is situated in a Mongolian Yurt and serves a delicious range of home-made cakes and savouries.
Does Berkeley Castle cater for special events/ functions such as weddings/parties etc?

Are there any ghosts at Berkeley Castle?
Yes, there have been many sightings in the past; some rooms are reputed to be more ghostly than others!
Yvette Fielding came here in 2010 with the TV programme Most Haunted and discovered lots of ghostly goings-on!
Is Berkeley Castle easy to get to?
Yes, we’re only 10 minutes from junctions 13 and 14 of the M5 and have lots of free car and coach parking spaces
Are there any special events planned for the rest of the year at Berkeley Castle?
- Yes, we have an exciting week planned for October half term when our cellars and kitchens will be full of witches and wizards!
- Split Second Productions will also be returning in December with their fabulous performances of Dickens’ A Christmas Carol
