For the first time, Hidcote will be open during weekends in January, giving visitors a chance to experience the garden in a new light, resting and restoring before the first spring bulbs begin bursting through.

To celebrate their new 2020 opening times Hidcote, which is cared for by the National Trust in Gloucestershire, will be opening to their neighbours free of charge on weekends in January.

The world-famous garden will be opening its doors for free to visitors who arrive with proof of address to a GL56, CV37, CV36, WR11, WR12 postcode on weekends in January.

Extending Hidcote opening times means you can spend more time enjoying the peace and tranquillity of the garden in the quieter months.

General Manager at Hidcote, Chris Charman, said:
‘There is a hive of activity at Hidcote throughout the winter months, with the garden team attending to each area in turn; pruning, clearing and mulching, to promote fresh growth next year.
‘It is a brilliant time to see the garden in a different light as it is stripped bare and lovingly prepared ready for spring’s clothes to drape it in flora.’

Hidcote will be open on weekends Saturday January 4 until Sunday February 16, 11am-4pm, before going back to opening daily.
