Volunteering opportunities at Snowshill Manor and Garden

Volunteering opportunities at Snowshill Manor and Garden

Volunteers are a crucial part of what makes Snowshill Manor and Garden so special and volunteering is a great way to meet people, take on a new challenge or develop your interests.

Snowshill Manor will be hosting two drop-in mornings for new volunteers on Friday 31 January and Saturday 8 February between 11am and 2pm. Discover what being a National Trust volunteer is all about and have an informal chat with staff and volunteers. These drop-in sessions will take place in Snowshill Village Hall which is situated in the centre of the village opposite the Snowshill Arms and church.

There are a variety of volunteer roles available including; working with the garden team, sharing the stories of Snowshill with visitors, running the model train in Wolf’s Cove, or supporting the team in the shop.

Hayley Gaisford-Gotto, General Manager at Snowshill says ‘Our volunteers are very precious to us, and we couldn’t open for visitors without them.’

‘If you’re interested, don’t worry about what role you may or may not be able to do. All you need is a friendly smile and a desire to want to help our visitors enjoy their day. Once we understand what your interests and skills are, and how much time you have to offer, we can find a role to suit you.’

There’s no need to book in advance.  Simply drop in any time between 11am and 2pm to find out more, meet the team and see how you can get involved. If you want to let the team know you are coming, find out more about what’s happening on the day or have any questions that you would like to ask, please email snowshillmanor@nationaltrust.org.uk or call 01386 842814.

Please note that parking is available in the National Trust car park. Follow the signs for Snowshill Manor and Garden then park in the overflow car park where you will be directed to the village centre.

If the weather looks very wintery please check the website before travelling www.nationaltrust.org.uk/snowshillmanor for up to date information.
