The Boomtown Rats & Alexandra Burke to headline Lechlade Festival 2020
Lechlade Festival organisers have announced The Boomtown Rats and Alexandra Burke are to headline this year’s event.
Taking place from 22nd to 24th May over the late May bank holiday weekend, the event is expected to attract bumper crowds on this its 10th year.
The Boomtown Rats have recently announced a new album to be released in March, with the first single from the album released to much acclaim earlier this year. The band will headline the festival on Sunday night.
Brit-nominee and West End star Alexandra Burke headlines on Saturday night.
“We’re so thrilled to be able to announce two fantastic headliners’, says Festival Director Jennie Rainsford, “this is our 10th year and we wanted to mark the occasion with something special. The line-up is looking absolutely brilliant, we still have many acts to announce.”
The festival will have five music stages and a new second arena, with music tuition workshops, a cabaret stage, graffiti wall and more family activities.
More than 1000 bands and performers applied to perform at the 3-day family-friendly festival and the full line up is to be announced soon. Tribute bands Guns or Roses and internationally acclaimed JK as Robbie Williams perform on Friday evening.
The popular circus skills little top, free play tent and free family workshops return for 2020.
Early Bird Tickets are on sale now. Children 16 and under go free, whether camping or visiting for the day.
