WWT Slimbridge Wetland Centre opening from 10 June


WWT Slimbridge Wetland

Following the latest government guidance WWT Slimbridge Wetland Centre are pleased to announce that they will be opening on 10 June with measures put in place ensuring that all visitors and staff remain safe.

Online booking is essential with numbers limited for safety reasons. Bookings open every Wednesday morning at 9am for the following week and you need to book before midnight the day before your intended visit. WWT members can still visit for free but need to book in advance (please ensure you bring your membership card and booking confirmation. Pre – existing ticket holders will still have to book a slot and have to bring their original ticket and booking confirmation with them.

Changes to expect:

•    If you have to queue to get in you will be asked to keep 2 metres from other visitors. Screens have been positioned at the admissions desk.
•    There is limited access to indoor areas.
•    Play areas are closed and there are no activities such as pond dipping, walks and talks at present.
•    Paths are now on a one-way system.
•    Toilet facilities are available, but some smaller ones are closed. 
Cleaning regimes have been increased and you will find hand sanitisers around the site.
•    Please do not feed the birds.
•    Mobility scooters and wheelchairs are not available for hire – please bring your own.
•    Shops and cafes are closed but takeaway sandwiches, cakes, crisps, ice cream and hot and cold drinks will be available from the Welly Boot Kiosk from Saturday 13 June.
