Whitemead Forest Park

Whitemead Forest Park are pleased to announce that they willl begin a gradual reopening on 6 July.

As you’d expect, they have had to adapt a few things and will be operating in a slightly different way for the time being focusing on two key aspects of safety to combat the Covid-19 pandemic – improved hygiene and social distancing.

  • All areas have undergone a thorough deep-clean and an enhanced cleaning regime introduced.
  • Hand sanitisers are available around the park in high-risk areas, and at points where hand washing is not practical.
  • Signs have been installed in all public buildings in compliance with social distancing restrictions.
  • The shop will be open every day with extended hours.
  • Improved welcome hampers will be available to book - sanitised, ready and waiting in your accommodation for your arrival.
  • Takeaway food service has been extended from 8.30am, from breakfast through lunchtime and into the evening. Tea, coffee, sandwiches, cakes and salads will all be available to grab and go from the counter.
  • A new menu has been produced and afternoon tea can now be taken away to your accommodation the al-fresco dining area.
  • Adequately spaced camping and caravanning pitches
  • Shower-block facilities with very strict social-distancing measures in place
  • The indoor restaurant, indoor bar, swimming pool and leisure facilities, and indoor children’s play areas will remain closed and there will be no on-site activities or evening entertainment. These facilities will stay closed until it’s safe to open these to the guests and, for this reason, no day guests will be allowed for the time being.
