First indoor, socially distanced performance at The Everyman Theatre

Everyman Theatre

The Everyman Theatre is pleased to announce their first local pilot of an indoor, socially distanced, public performance on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 September.

They have partnered with Cheltenham based Ian Kennedy Productions to present a brand new comedy, for the entire family, based on L Frank Baum's The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. This new production will be presented with full social distancing protocols in place for the comfort and protection of our performers, staff and, most importantly, our guests.

The theatre staff are working diligently to follow the latest guidance available from the Government and industry bodies to create the safest environment to enjoy a performance. Social distancing protocols which will be put in place for these performances include distanced seating "pods", designated arrival times and entrances, pre-entry temperature screenings, pre-ordered food and beverage service, hand sanitiser stations, track and trace monitoring and enhanced cleaning procedures for the venue.

The Everyman Theatre look forward to welcoming audiences back to this historic venue and hope you enjoy their first public performances since mid March. Your continued support of the Everyman Theatre is very much appreciated and  thank you in advance for respecting their staff and adhering to guidance proceedures measures for your safety and look forward to returning to full capacity in the future.

Following the success of The Sword in the Stone and The Three Musketeers, IKP returns with another “bonkers” new comedy adaptation of L. Frank Baum’s The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Join Dorothy and Toto as they encounter munchkins, witches, winged monkeys, enchanted slippers and a Wonderful Wizard! Expect the unexpected in this comedy for all the family, featuring physical humour, fast-paced multi-roling and plenty of laughs for all ages.
