Gloucester Guildhall Cinema is back!

Gloucester Guildhall Cinema

Following their temporary closure in March due to restrictions surrounding the pandemic, Gloucester Guildhall are very excited to welcome you all back to their newly refurbished Cinema on Thursday 1st October.

A number of safety measures have been put in place to ensure a safe visit and you can expect the same great films with a slightly different way of doing things.

What's On
October’s film programme includes returning screenings of ‘Emma’, ‘Misbehaviour’ and ‘Military Wives’, plus a special black and white edition of Boon Jong Ho’s extraordinarily successful Oscar winner ‘Parasite’.

Event cinema screenings include Andre Rieu’s 15 year celebration of Magical Maastricht concert series, and Michael Ball and Alfie Boe’s final show of their sold-out UK tour.

Later in the month there are special Halloween and Black History Month screenings, and the French Film Festival following in November.

Seating & Booking
One of the major challenges of effectively social distancing is controlling capacities and as such the capacity of the cinema has been lowered to 22 for each screening. They will also be introducing reserved seats, the same as you would find in a major cinema.

In order to keep the films rolling the Cinema needs to be sure they are using every possible seat as there are many regulars who pop in to catch a film whilst in the city, and they want that to continue! With this in mind seating has been arranged to accommodate both solo cinema goers, and groups of distanced friends & family.

The front row will be made up of 4 single seats with the rest arranged in pairs. For larger groups (under 6 people) the back row will offer the most suitable space for enjoying the film together.
With the strict capacity and layout in place please book in advance to avoid any disappointment. You can do this by visiting the website, or by calling the box office on 01452 503050.
