Cotswold Farm Park launch 2022 sunflower competition!

Cotswold Farm Park launch 2022 sunflower competition!

This spring, Cotswold Farm Park are delighted to announce the launch of their sunflower growing competition, ahead of their popular Flower Field event returning in the summer.

The visitor attraction, run by farmer and TV presenter Adam Henson, is renowned in the local area for its Sunflower Field, so this year they’re giving visitors their own packet of seeds to have a go at growing their own at home. A competition will take place at the start of September to see who has grown the tallest bloom.

With 12,000 packets of seeds ready to sow, the Farm Park will be giving away the seeds throughout Easter for green-fingered visitors to grow in their gardens and at schools.

Adam Henson told us “Our sunflowers play an important role in improving the biodiversity of our farmland, so it’s fantastic to be encouraging everyone to grow flowers and support pollinators and insects.”

Entrants will have until 1st September 2022 to have a go at growing the tallest bloom and to be in for the chance of winning a year’s family Farm Park Membership (2 x adults & 2 x children).

Adam added “This will be the first year we give away seeds and I can’t wait for visitors to show us what they’ve grown!

The Farm Park’s Sunflower Field is set to be sown this Easter and followers can follow its growth on social media via @cotswoldfarmpark, before weaving their way through the flowers when the field opens in the summer.

Further details about submitting entries will be released via @cotswoldfarmpark in the summer. Visitors can pick up a packet of seeds during their visit between 9th and 24th April. Farm Park tickets are bookable in advance via the link below.
