The Cotswolds community gets its own exclusive social networking site.
People of the Cotswolds now have their very own social networking site thanks to the launch of Cotswolds Connect, a dedicated site for everyone living and working in the Cotswolds.
A first of its kind, Cotswolds Connect will play an important role in providing a platform for the community to share their loves and common interests, find friends and be kept informed of local events. The site will also feature up-to-the-minute news from around the region.
This unique site is the result of more than a year of research and development, and is the brainchild of Cotswold based Co-founders James Holden and Julia Cook. James explains “We were looking for an exclusive networking site for the people of the Cotswolds but we simply couldn’t find one, so we decided to launch Cotswolds Connect to fill the much needed gap.”
There has been excellent feedback from those registering. As one of the sites first members says “It’s just what we have been waiting for, a place we can communicate and meet local friends and find out about everything that’s happening locally and around the Cotswolds – it’s brilliant”.
Cotswolds Connect is different from other social networking sites in that it has been exclusively developed for the people of the Cotswolds. By being geographically based it is the perfect online and offline arena to find and meet new friends in the local or neighbouring areas.
In today’s ever increasing online society one of the main objectives of Cotswolds Connect was to enable its members to make real, local friends that can meet up without any geographical restrictions. Members can browse the galleries, search for new friends by age, sex and Cotswolds location. There are also chat rooms available for members to chat to friends or to make new friends. Members are able to invite contacts via any one of the major email gateways available on the site.
Other features of the site for members include the uploading of videos, quizzes, music, blogs and pictures.
