WINNER: Gloucestershire at its Best Photography Competition 2012
We are pleased to announce the winner of the 2012 Explore Gloucestershire at its Best Photography Competition.
The standard of entries was extremely high this year and the effort entrants made was commendable. Gloucester Docks proved a popular subject with some excellent night time shots.
This year we thought the honour of picking the winner should be given to our competition sponsors 'Stagecoach West Buses'. We short-listed ten top photographs and Nathan Griffith-Williams, marketing manager at Stagecoach West chose the winning photograph by Phill Emery for his photograph of Gloucester Docks by Night. Phill, from Gloucester took the photo with a Nikon 60, he also took a wonderful night time shot of Pittville Pump Rooms.
Nathan Griffith-Williams will present Phil with a cheque for £250 at a later date.
Below you will find a gallery of some of the best entries from last year, from quintessential Cotswold landscapes to the architectural Regency gems in Cheltenham. Click on the images to open the gallery with larger images.
The 2013 Explore Gloucestershire Photography Competition will begin in the Spring, with not only £250 for the winner, but there will be £50 and £25 for the second and third places respectively.
