Pumpkin Picking at Primrose Vale

Saturday 4 - 5 October 2025

Primrose Vale invites families to enjoy a traditional pumpkin picking experience this October at their dedicated PYO fields. This ticketed event is a fantastic way to select the perfect pumpkin, with entry fees redeemable against the cost of your choice.

Pumpkin picking opens on selected weekends before half term, making it an ideal autumn activity for families looking to celebrate the season.

Important Information:

  • No Dogs Permitted: Dogs are not allowed on the trail or pumpkin fields.
  • Children: All children must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Footwear: Sturdy footwear is recommended as the fields may be muddy. Gloves are also advised for handling vines, prickles, and nettles.
  • Separate Event: The Halloween Trail begins at the farm shop and requires a separate ticket. Visitors who wish to enjoy both attractions should book tickets for each. Pumpkin picking typically takes around one hour, while the Halloween Trail can last 45 minutes to 2 hours.

Pumpkin picking will also be available on:

  • 11 & 12 October
  • 18 & 19 October
  • 25 & 26 October
  • Half Term: 26 – 31 October (subject to availability)

Location

Primrose Vale is located just off the A46 Shurdington Road, around 50 yards from the A417 / A46 junction towards Cheltenham. The site is conveniently near M5 junction 11A, only 4.5 miles from Gloucester and 3.5 miles from Cheltenham.
