Halloween Fun at Sudeley Castle This October Half Term
This October Half Term, Sudeley Castle invites families to celebrate Halloweek with autumn trails, Tudor ghost tales, and a brand-new evening of fireworks and frightful fun.
Daytime Halloween Adventures
Saturday 25 October – Sunday 2 November

Families can enjoy the enchanting Pumpkin Trail, exploring hidden corners of the castle gardens in search of pumpkins marked with magical witches’ symbols. From the elegance of the Queen’s Garden to the historic charm of the Tithe Barn and Mulberry Lawn, each discovery reveals seasonal colour and surprises. Those who complete the trail will be rewarded with a Halloween treat.
On Friday 31 October (10am – 4pm), visitors can step into the eerie world of Tudor All Hallows’ Eve. Within the castle walls, costumed spirits will share chilling tales, ghostly encounters, and the haunting superstitions of the past. This immersive experience reveals how fear, folklore, and ceremony shaped Halloween during Tudor times. Fancy dress is warmly encouraged.
Families can also explore the gardens in their autumn splendour and let little ones enjoy the epic Adventure Playground, complete with slides, a zipline, and an assault course. Seasonal food, hot drinks, and Halloween-themed milkshakes will be available from the Pavilion café.
Evening Spooks – Phantoms & Fireworks

As night falls, Sudeley Castle opens its gates for Phantoms & Fireworks – an unforgettable evening of thrills, chills, and family-friendly fun.
Visitors can follow a haunted trail towards the castle dungeons, encounter eerie folklore characters, and take part in ultimate trick-or-treat surprises at the castle doors. The Ghoul Skool Disco will have little monsters dancing the night away, before the evening ends with a spectacular fireworks display over the historic castle. Pizza, sweet treats, and drinks will be available throughout the night.
