The classic Hitchcock thriller North by Northwest is reimagined for the stage in a dazzling adaptation by Emma Rice. A co-production between Wise Children, York Theatre Royal, HOME Manchester, and Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse, this inventive production brings glamour, suspense, and humour to the iconic Cold War conspiracy.
At the heart of the story is Roger Thornhill, an unsuspecting man mistaken for someone else, who is thrown into a world of espionage, high-stakes chases, and intrigue. With only six performers shape-shifting through multiple roles, a vibrant ‘50s soundtrack, and a whirlwind of suitcases, this adaptation turns the original thriller on its head.
