...Earnest? at the Everyman Theatre
Tuesday 10 - Wednesday 11 June 2025
The Edinburgh Fringe smash-hit …Earnest? arrives at the Everyman Theatre, Cheltenham, following rave reviews and ahead of its eagerly awaited West End run.
A traditional performance of Oscar Wilde’s classic The Importance of Being Earnest is underway, everything seemingly going to plan—until the lead actor fails to appear! In a theatrical twist, an unsuspecting audience member is thrust into the spotlight, setting off an evening of side-splitting chaos.
With a desperate director scrambling to keep the show afloat, expect spontaneous auditions, last-minute cast changes, and plenty of unexpected muffin mayhem. As more audience members are drafted in, and the script gets increasingly unrecognisable, will the production ever make it to its grand finale as Wilde intended?
A riotous night of unpredictable comedy, perfect for fans of The Play That Goes Wrong and Noises Off!, …Earnest? promises a completely different show each night. Who knows? You might even become the star!
