Dinosaurs Take Over Birdland this Half Term
Birdland's Jurassic Journey trail brings the prehistoric era to life with life-sized dinosaurs hidden amongst the trees. This May, the experience is even bigger with a programme of special dinosaur-themed events:
- The Fossil Dude – back by popular demand on 24–25 May and 31 May–1 June, offering hands-on fossil digs and fun facts for young palaeontologists.
- Rentadinosaur – coming to Birdland on 28–29 May, bringing animatronic dinosaurs to life in thrilling walkabout shows (marketing visuals coming soon).
- The Friendly Dinosaur Outdoor Movie – enjoy a unique evening experience as Birdland screens a special dinosaur-themed film after hours on 30–31 May.
Things to Do at Birdland this May Half Term
Birdland is home to over 500 birds across nine acres of beautiful gardens and tranquil woodland beside the River Windrush. Families can:
- Visit England’s only breeding group of King Penguins and meet the comical Humboldt Penguins
- Spot flamingos, pelicans, cranes, and other wetland birds in natural riverside habitats
- Explore the Out of Africa area featuring hornbills and village weavers
- Marvel at the colourful Pandemonium of Parrots in brand-new enclosures
- Wander through the Parliament of Owls and encounter majestic birds of prey
