Orchestral Christmas Concert at Berkeley Castle

Orchestra Pro Anima, under the direction of Michael Bochmann MBE, returns to the spectacular Berkeley Castle  for the annual Orchestral Christmas Concert. The evening begins with a  festive reception at 5pm in the Long Drawing Room, where guests will  enjoy wine, mince pies, and seasonal cheer before the concert begins at  6pm in the atmospheric Great Hall.
Now in its third decade, this cherished event has become a highlight of  the Christmas calendar in Gloucestershire. With twinkling lights,  majestic trees, and the historic grandeur of the Castle, the setting is  nothing short of enchanting. The orchestra will present a delightful mix  of music spanning from the Baroque period to the 20th century,  performed in two halves with a festive interval.
Soloists Michael Bochmann and George Ewart will feature in a beautifully curated programme including:
    - Boyce – Symphony No 1 in B flat major
- Manfredini – Concerto Grosso in C major Op 3 No 12 ‘Christmas Concerto’
- Mozart – Violin Concerto No 3 in G major K216
- John Ireland – The Holy Boy
- Saint-Saëns – Havanaise in E major Op 83
- Warlock – Capriol Suite, Traditional – Adeste Fideles and
- Anderson – Sleigh Ride.
