Pyrography at the Dean Heritage Centre

Visitors are invited to the Craft Hut for a hands-on pyrography session, using wood slices harvested directly from the Dean Heritage Centre grounds. This nature-inspired craft activity offers the chance to design and create a hanging ornament with specialist pyrography pens—perfect for adding a rustic touch to home décor or gifting.
Guests can take their personalised creations home as a memento of their visit.
Please note, due to the high temperatures of the tools, this activity may not be suitable for younger children.
The Gruffalo Trail
Venture into the enchanting woodland trail, inspired by the beloved children's book The Gruffalo. Open year-round, this five-acre trail follows the journey of the famous mouse through the beautiful Forest of Dean, meeting familiar characters along the way.
Relax at The Heritage Coffee Shop
After a day of exploring, recharge at The Heritage Coffee Shop, offering a selection of delicious refreshments and homemade treats in a cosy setting.
Pyrography sessions will also be available on 4 August.
